Ben Stokes the Champion

Ben Stokes is an English International Cricketer and the current Vice-Captain of the England Test team. He was part of the England squad that had won the 2019 World Cup. He is a left-handed batsman and a right hand medium pace bowler. Ben Stokes is one of the best All-Rounder of all time. He captained the English team for the first time against West Indies in the First Test Match.

He is a Match- Winner for his team whether in County Championship, IPL, One Day and Tests. He holds the record of the fastest Double Century for England and the highest score by a player batting at number six. Ben Stokes became the highest paid Overseas player in the history of IPL in 2017 getting a record 145 Million. He has also been named the Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2019. He is the top-ranked Test All Rounder in the World. He made his debut for Durham in 2009.

He had played exceptionally well for Rising Pune Supergiants winning Man of the match Award three times and scoring a Century Against Gujarat Lions. Ben Stokes was bought by Rajasthan Royals in 2018 for a record 12.5 Crores (most expensive player in the auction in 2018). He had made his One Day debut against Ireland in 2011. Until his performance in the 2019 World Cup, Stokes was seen as a Batsman and not Bowler.

He was also a part of Big Bash League representing Melbourne Renegades as a replacement of injured Ryder. Stokes was a key member of the Durham side that had won the County Championship in 2013.

Ben Stokes was selected for the Ashes Series in 2013-14. He was the 658th Player to have represented England in Test. In the 2019 World Cup, he had shown the World that he is one of the Greatest performers of England. He was named Man of the Match two times. His fielding skills were exceptional against South Africa as there was a brilliant one hand catch by him at the boundary ,Ben Stokes was named in the ICC Team of the World Cup 2019.

His form was good against New Zealand in Tests but eventually England lost the Series. The Year 2019 was incredible for him as he was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year and ICC Player of the Year. He has a massive fan following across the world. Stokes was part of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020.

Ben Stokes scored a hundred against Mumbai Indians and his partnership with Sanju Samson helped his team to win a crucial match. Eventually his team came last due to Run Rate. This IPL Season was one of the best season because there was tragedy, horror, humour and patience. He is currently the Vice-Captain of England in Test.

However the journey of Stokes in Cricket was not easy as he has went through a lot of difficulties. He was born in New Zealand and winning against them in the World Cup was a very exceptional moment for him. He had a good tour against South Africa as England won the series and Ben Stokes was named Man of the Series for his incredible performance.

However he played well in World Cup final as the match ended as a tie and the Super Over also Tied, and the Kiwis broke in Tears and England were happy.
