Delhi Capitals bounce back after a blip in the last match to overcome struggling Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets and 5 balls to spare. MI scored 129/8, batting first, as Avesh Khan and Axar Patel took three wickets each. In reply, DC also kept losing regular wickets, till a 39-run partnership under pressure between  Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin took them over the line. MI’s route to the playoffs looks more and more difficult, having secured only one win from five matches in the second phase of IPL 2021.Mumbai are coming off a crucial win over Punjab, doing enough with both bat and ball to seal victory. DC vs MI matches are always thrilling to watch.

At the time of writing on Friday evening, Kolkata Knight Riders were yet to finish their battle with Punjab, but regardless, Rohit Sharma’s men desperately need the two points in the pointy end of the season. For Delhi, the playoffs race is much smoother for them in terms of a top four finish. DC vs MI
Avesh Khan was at its best in DC vs MI clash !!!

A hard-fought win for Delhi and they have achieved their 9th victory of the season. Delhi have also completed a league double over the defending champions and continue to impress. For Mumbai, they have failed to break the 10-point deadlock and stay 6th on the table. It’s going to be tough for them from here on. DC vs MI matches are always thrilling to watch and these are my favourite matches. peaking of how the game unfolded, Delhi Capitals unsurprisingly opted to bowl after winning the toss in Sharjah.

With the track being slow and dry, runs weren’t easy to come by as MI batters never got going. For DC, Avesh Khan, Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje made the ball talk. As a result, the five-time champions were restricted to 129/8. Although the target didn’t seem daunting on paper, Delhi Capitals had a hard time. They lost three wickets inside the first five overs as the MI camp seemed ecstatic. Skipper Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer played some aggressive shots but also fell in the process. DC vs MI was a low-scoring thriller. Now, Mumbai Indians have to win their remaining two matches for qualifying for the Play-Offs. They have to see for Punjab Kings and KKR.

No player was able to play his knock in DC vs MI clash !!!

DC vs MI Batting Performances – Both the openers of the teams didn’t gave them a proper start and lost their wickets early. For Mumbai Indians, Surya Kumar Yadav top scored with 33 runs. Only it was a game of bowlers who gave magnificent performances for their team. For Delhi Capitals, both the openers lost their wickets early and Shreyas Iyer’s calm innings helped the team to win a thriller and gain two points for the Delhi Capitals.

But looking at Mumbai’s history, it is that whenever they find themselves in a situation where they are currently are in IPL 2021, they have won the do-or-die games, qualified for the playoffs and they have even made it to the final. So, if we look at the historic aspect, yes, Mumbai Indians can do it again. But I don’t believe much in history. In the DC vs MI matches, Mumbai Indians have a better run-rate against Delhi Capitals.

Axar Patel also performed brilliantly against Mumbai Indians !!!
  1. My Predictions for the TOP four of IPL 2021- As it is the Second phase of Indian Premiere League going on, I have predicted these four teams to qualify for the Play-Offs:-
  2. Chennai Super Kings – They would finish in the top two-spots for the IPL 2021. Last year, they hadn’t perform up to their best, but now have invested in youngsters like Rituraj Gaekwad. This Year, they have bounced back perfectly and the openers have given them a solid start in each match. They are favourites to win the Indian Premiere League.
  3. Royal Challengers Bangalore – RCB would finish 3rd in the points table and they would play in the Eliminator 1 and they would win it and play Qualifier 2. They would look to win this season and end their drought of 13 Seasons of not winning the league.
  4. Delhi Capitals – They would finish in the top two of the points table and would play against CSK in Qualifier 1 and would lost the match. Delhi Capitals have really played a good cricket against other competitors and would look to win their remaining two matches.
  5. Punjab Kings– They have proper chances of qualifying in the Play-Offs. They have to win their two remaining matches with a better-run rate. They would play in the Eliminator against RCB.
