IND-L vs ENG-L Highlights – RSWS 2022 Highlights: The 14th match of the Road Safety World Series 2022 will be played between India Legends and England Legends on Thursday. India Legends started their campaign with a win against South Africa Legends by 61 runs. Stuart Binny wreaked havoc with the bat as blazed his way to a sensational century. Besides, valuable contributions from Suresh Raina (33 off 21) and Suresh Raina (35 off 15) helped India notch a massive total of 217 runs. India, later, restricted South Africa to 156 runs only, thanks to a collective bowling effort from the bowlers.

This was, however, the only win they have registered so far. The next matches were abandoned due to rain. Heading into the next game, India would be looking to register, Englands, their first win of the tournament. On the other hand, England is looking to find their first win in the tournament. They have played three matches and are yet to win a game in the tournament.

Valuable contributions from Ian Bell (46 off 43) and R Clarke (50 off 25) helped them reach 156 in their last game against West Indies. However, Brian Lara and Co. easily chased down the target in 17. 2 overs. It will be interesting to see how England  would qualify in the Semi-finals. They had a disappointing tournament and are looking lost in the Points Table.

 India Legends win by 40 runs: After two washouts, India Legends finally managed to showcase their skills once again. It turned out to be a big win for India Legends. With Rajesh Pawar bagging three wickets, India Legends thrashed England Legends by 40 runs. Earlier, sent to bat, India Legends posted 170/5 in 15 overs as overs were reduced due to rain delay. Sachin Tendulkar set the stage on fire with a brilliant 20-ball 40. In the middle-overs Yusuf Pathan kept the heat on with an 11-ball 27. Yuvraj Singh applied the finishing touch with a 15-ball 31.

The rain gods had some sympathy for the fans when it seemed it would be another washout without even a ball being bowled. With Ian Bell opting to bowl, fans finally had the chance to relive the memories of Sachin Tendulkar’s yesteryears in front of their eyes. The India Legends captain set the stage alight from the word go. But Suresh Raina disappointed the fans again, scoring just 12 off 8. However, it was Yusuf Pathan who took charge in the middle overs, hammering 27 off just 11 balls. With Stuart Binny also making clear of his intent in 11-ball 18-run knock, India were looking at a huge score.

Yuvraj Singh did not want to disappoint the fans. He took on England bowlers, reminding everyone of his prowess once again. The class sixes were back as Yuvraj smashed 31 off just 15 balls. His knock was laced with a boundary and three super sixes. The charge took India Legends to 170/5 in just 15 overs. Mascarenhas and Phil Mustard gave England Legends a solid start but Rajesh Pawar does the trick as the spinner cleans up Mascarenhas as England Legends is in pursuit of a tall chase of 171 in 15 overs. The match has been reduced to 15-overs per side due to rain.

Fans were happy to see this game as for a long time no matches were being played. Heavy rains in the outfield and matches were abandoned. India Legends have not been able to play there two matches one against New Zealand Legends and the other against West Indies Legends due to heavy rains at Kanpur. This tournament has been a special one for all the legends. They had met after a long time and remembered their playing days.
