Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) team announced on Sunday that they would wear blue Jersey in one off their Upcoming Match to pay tribute to the COVID Heroes. This is a nice initiative by the team management as COVID Heroes are doing their best for the Country. RCB has always been doing several things for the environment and for the people. They used to wore Green Jersey, in every season to support the nature. I am a big RCB fan and have always wore their Jersey.

As the Country is suffering with Crisis, so RCB had these initiative for the Heroes who are working for our country risking their lives. Virat Kohli had also stated that the team would also support financially to the Government for oxygen cylinders. RCB has identified key areas where much needed help is required immediately in healthcare infrastructure related to Oxygen support in Bangalore and other cities, and will be making a financial contribution towards this,” Kohli said in a video posted by the franchise. The team will also raise funds to tackle the mayhem unleashed by the second wave of COVID-19 infections and an inadequate health infrastructure.

“The RCB is going to be sporting a special Blue jersey in one of the upcoming matches with key messaging on our match kits to pay our respect and show solidarity to all the front line heroes who have spent majority of last year wearing PPE kits & leading the fight against the pandemic,” Kohli said.  “RCB will also auction all the signed player jerseys from this game to raise money and add to our earlier financial contribution supporting healthcare infrastructure. We urge all of you to stay safe at home and get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity,” he signed off.

As the situation in India is getting very worse, it is the time for us to step up and help various people who are suffering. There are different organisations that have taken different initiatives of helping various people. There are people who are generating oxygen leads for the people who are in need to save their lives. COVID taught us to be unite and help others and I personally felt that India don’t have a large medical centres. The Government is wasting money on building Statues and Stadiums.

Several IPL players have come forward to make contributions as India deals with the crisis that is claiming more than 3,000 lives daily, as per official data. Australia pacer Pat Cummins was the first to forward to help and donated USD 50,000 for the cause, while other franchises and individual stars are also making their contributions. Virat Kohli donated 21 crores to the cause. Players are giving their match-fees for the sake of the lives of people. It is a very harsh time for the Country and the people are not getting enough resources to live.

As India recorded over 300,00 positive Covid cases, and more than 2000 deaths per day for the last week, the procession of donations from players or franchises was started by Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler, Pat Cummins who announced a donation of US$ 50,000 “specifically to purchase oxygen supplies for India’s hospitals” to PM Cares Fund, and several other cricketers then followed the suit.

This season RCB is going to be sporting a special Blue jersey in one of the early upcoming matches with key messaging on the match kit to pay our respect and show solidarity to all the front line heroes who have spent the majority of last year wearing PPE kits and leading the fight against the pandemic, instead of our flagship Go Green Initiative match. The Doctors are risking their lives for the people. I think the Government has taken important steps for the Lockdown. It was the mistake of people that COVID has comeback and started taking lives of people.
